Highways England to ban cyclists on Tour de Yorkshire route?

The Telegraph reports that, following a huge increase in cyclists’ death and injury on the Tour de Yorkshire route, as amateur cyclists emulate the professionals - with catastrophic results - Highways England is seeking to ban cyclists from those roads.  According to the Transport Department, 246 people were killed in North Yorkshire in three years, up from 34 in 2006.
